Core values
For years now, Griendtsveen has established itself as a company with three special core values: High quality, Uniqueness and Sustainability. Sustainability is the company’s most distinctive and dominant value.
Vision
People are becoming increasingly alienated from the environment, from nature and culture, from their roots. Many of us feel increasingly detached from the plants and animals with which we share our planet. This is one reason why, as a rule, people tend not to feel the full impact of their responsibility for conserving the natural world. Griendtsveen, a land company and good steward for more than a century, is convinced that were people to experience more vividly the nature that surrounds them, their respect for that nature would increase. This would encourage a more careful and responsible interaction with the environment and use of its raw materials.
Mission
With all the services and experiences it has to offer, Griendtsveen is keen to help develop a more sustainable society. Specifically, this ambition seeks to achieve enduring (sustainable) human welfare, for generations to come. Nature in its original state is serving as our guide in this endeavour, and our project site offers a valuable starting point.
The concepts developed by Griendtsveen for Green Meet*s Resort and WildLife Park Europe are realising this ambition in a sustainable, high-quality and commercially sound manner.
SUSTAINABLE CONSERVATION
CONSERVATION not in the sense of keeping something unchanged, which may lead to rigidity and stagnation, but rather in the sense of a fundamental activity intended to maintain all the valuable elements of our world for generations to come. Conservation encompasses concepts such as purification, recycling, protection, cradle to cradle (C2C), saving, regeneration and nature.
Integral sustainable conservation
Griendtsveen explains this as follows:
• INTEGRAL: the completeness of the approach creates a whole that is more than the sum of the parts
• SUSTAINABLE: continuity in sustainability
• CONSERVATION: the retention of important values and results
