The location chosen as the events site lies adjacent to the Noordersloot. This marks the northern edge of the site. To the south and east the site is bounded by the WildLife Park. The boundary to the west and south-west is formed by the golf course.
When an event is being held, temporary facilities will be erected. These will vary according to the nature of the event. Griendtsveen intends to hold events on the site at various times throughout the year.
Griendtsveen is keen to organise events such as country or lifestyle fairs, industry sector shows (agriculture, recreation and nature conservation are three sectors that spring to mind), golf tournaments and equestrian competitions.
Noisy events such as dance festivals, pop concerts, motorcycle racing events, “tractor pulling” competitions, trucker festivals and the like will not be held.
While it is difficult to make a clear distinction between large and small events, it is Griendtsveen’s intention over the longer term to attract large events attended by the public. Such events would typically be equestrian and golf events.
