Animals and their biotopes
The WildLife area is divided into a number of biotopes. These are inhabited by various animal groups specially selected to suit the biotope conditions. Here in their own familiar habitats these animals are very much at home. The biotopes vary greatly in their size, hilliness and vegetation depending on the natural habits of the animal groups. The park’s guests have access to the biotopes, which provide the opportunity to experience a wide array of worlds.
All the animals here feel at home in our European climate, are still found in the wild and/or used to populate this area.
The number of animals of each species in the first phase will depend on how easy it is to acquire animals, the best composition of an initial group and the ability of the biotope concerned to support a group at the outset. The intention is to have animals live in their natural social groups, such as herds or packs. Natural group sizes will emerge over time as the animals breed and by moving animals between groups.
